Family Beach Portraits for the Holidays

This past month my parents came out to visit us for about 10 days. They live on the East Coast so it’s always VERY special to have them spend time with us, my sister’s family, and most importantly all the little grandkids. I mentioned to my Dad that I would love to organize some family photos when they were in town since it’s not often we are all together and he instantly said he was excited. My dear friend Felicia who shoots all of our special family moments came to meet us in Laguna Beach at sunset. It’s great because my sister, husband, and their 2 kids know Felicia as well so there is a nice comfort level there. I joked with my Sister before the shoot that I had to plan all the kids outfits because her kids are older and independent and love to dress themselves. I figured if it was left up to them, they might show up in a Spiderman hoodie which is normally adorable but I wanted to try to curate the photos a bit so thankfully she indulged me and let me dress them....

OUR HOME // LIVING ROOM + DINING ROOM

IT’S FINALLY HERE!! I have been waiting to share our dining room and living room design with you for so long and excited to finally show you the big reveal. My talented friend Anne helped to bring our vision to life. Anne and I collaborated on my master bedroom redesign and after the success of that project, we wanted to move through the house and start working through the space. Our living room and dining room are both one open space and with our old furniture, felt a bit cramped. We just didn’t have the right elements to create the perfect open feel. One of my biggest priorities for the space was to not lose any storage that we currently had. Of course we were replacing all cabinets in both the dining room and living room but my biggest concern was making sure we streamlined the space without losing that precious concealed storage. Super Bowl Champs!

GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday was one of the best days of our lives, as a football fan. If you don’t know, Blake and I are die-hard EAGLES fans. We were both born and raised outside of Philadelphia and grew up living and breathing our Philly teams. I lived in Philly for more than 12 years and while I now live in California and call it home, Philadelphia will always have my heart. It’s the place I grew up, became who I am, and shaped the life ahead of me. The passion that comes out of that city is electric and I have been waiting my whole life for this Super Bowl win. I cried, we celebrated, and my heart is just so happy for all my Philadelphia friends, family and fellow fans. Philly is the city of brotherly love and we are all feeling that love right now.
